The MOFEG Bus Driver

Over the last 3 years, we have travelled with a number of bus drivers through our affiliated bus rental companies. Our drivers bring professionalism and efficiency to the work during MOFEG trips.

MOFEG Tours is of the opinion that the success of any tour largely depend on the transport unit and as such we go the extra mile to keep these drivers in check and also motivate them. How do we do this? We always deal with rental companies with reputable experience in touring Ghana and West Africa. Our drivers in addition to the training from their main employers receive additional ethical and professional training from MOFEG Tours as stated in "MOFEG Transport Code" which includes good and professional inter-personal relationship with us as a company and for that matter our clients.

We also motivate our drivers and reward them at the end of each tour. We have a package in place which add as additional incentive to these drivers. This is to encourage them to display their outmost professionalism during tours. We call it the "MOFEG Driver Performance Allowance". In addition to allowances paid by MOFEG as part of rental fees for our buses, we go the extra mile to give the MOFEG Driver Performance Allowance to drivers who exhibit high sense of professionalism during our tours. We also provide decent accommodation, usually the same facility as our clients and also allow our drivers to eat from the same restaurants as our clients during our tours. We treat our drivers with respect.

During tours, MOFEG staff on board the bus monitor the driver's performance with regard to: speed limits, overtaking, etc. The driver is always prompted when ever he does any of these wrongly. MOFEG staff never sleeps on board the bus during tours and always awake to monitor the driver. We have outlined in our itineraries for tours rest stops not only for our clients but also our drivers. This is to enable them rest for at least 15 minutes every 2 to 3 hours of driving.

We at MOFEG Tours believe that the safety of our clients must never be compromised for anything and we strive to always to keep our clients safe during travels.
